Who are you wearing?

Not too long ago I mentioned that I've been asked to correspond for ET Canada covering the Grammy Awards. I've been thinking a lot about what I want to ask the stars. No doubt I'll be asking many of them who they are wearing, but, should they ask me who I'm wearing, for the first time ever I'll get to say.....

I'm wearing myself!!!

Yes, I've decided to wear my very first creation from my new line at the Grammys!!! My team and I have been hard at work getting the dress together these last few weeks. Just this morning we had another fitting and I have to tell you, it has been so wonderful to see the picture in my head find its way into reality.

I don't want to reveal the whole thing yet (I know, I do love to keep you all in suspense) but I'll tease you with this very vague and blurry little photo we snapped this morning. In case you're wondering, we do have a name for the line but we are still working out the standard legal branding issues before announcing that. In the mean time though I've been hard at work on the designs and on this first piece of mine.

Anyway, I hope you all are well and are enjoying your new year. Tomorrow night I'll be at the SUPIMA awards. After the six finalists have presented their collections I've been asked to announce the grand prize winner which is quite exciting. What I like about the SUPIMA competition is that they don't require any entry fee from their contestants and they are really encouraging emerging talent. Should be an interesting night!!

That is so cool! Can't wait to see your design and I'm curious to know what your line is called =)

Maybe it's just the picture being really blurry but I'm not sure if I really like the colour nor the fabric used for that design. But I might be wrong here. Who better that Coco Rocha to astonish us all.

can't wait to see the dress! I'm also hoping you get to score interviews with some of my favorite music artists (MGMT, Imogen Heap, and of course the legends Bob Dylan and Eric Clapton who I can't picture attending the awards).

wow, what a dream come true! unveiling your own collection at the Grammys... just incredible.

goodluck with all your preparation, i hope everything goes your way.

i hope you don't think this is too forward but i would love to interview you on my blog - i'm fascinated by young people who carve their own paths in fashion and you seem to be doing exactly that!

regardless, i wish you all the best with this incredible project of yours - way to go x

Love & luck,

Jessy

Sandra
