Prep Work.

The Met Ball is Monday and I'm terribly nervous. But I think I will be alright because I've got Issac Mizrahi to take care of me. I'm going to his studio tomorrow to finalize what dress I'll be wearing and then I'm off to Fekkai's Salon to see what we can do with hair for the special night.     Who knew so much effort was put into looking good for one evening!! That's alright what girl wouldn't like to be Cinderella for the night?!

Shopping Vintage.

I  have come to realize that I'm obsessed with vintage clothing . If I go shopping which rarely I do, I always find my self at a vintage store. I've got a little secret place that I'm going to share with you all. In NY the only vintage store you'll find me in is called Cheap Jack's. On 5th Ave and 31 St. It has things from the late 1800's to the late 1980's. Its go anything and everything. Trust me its worth checking out. I never leave with out getting bags full of clothing. As if I need more garments.

This is a photo of me at the after party for the screening for Obsessed, wearing a vintage dress that I got at Cheap Jacks. One of my new faves!

The Perfect Date.

How cute is
Zac Posen? As we arrived at the New Yorkers for Children he whipped out this
amazing coat that matched perfectly with my dress. He had found it at some vintage store in
N.Y. He told me that once he was done wearing it, he would be giving it to his mom. (How
sweet!!)

P.S If you're looking for the perfect date for the next big event, you couldn't get anyone better than the great Zac. He knew every rule on how the be a true gentlemen. It didn't matter how many times you would leave the table he would rise from his chair and help you out of your
seat. I haven't seen that sort of gentlemen behavior for a very long time.

So my friend had a party called "the great depression". It ment that we all dressed up in outfits from the  1930's. I was so ready to look the part.  I took an entire day to find the right outfit.
Learning from the best I was able to do my hair and makeup all by myself and doing not to bad of a job I managed to do my friends hair shown above.

I think I could bring back models that do their own hair and makeup.

This ladies and gentlemen was the shoot I had mentioned about a few posts back. The shoot that I wouldn't give you a clue about except that it was the most impressive job I ever have done or will again. I can't tell you how honored I was to be on such a set with so many legends.

Make sure you get the May issue of American Vogue and read the article about Steven Meisel. It's quite incredible.

Have you ever seen such a face. If there was an award for the best expression while playing soccer I think I would win. Once a week I go out with some of my buds and play a game of soccer, but I can secretly tell you that my friend and I only go to dress in our wackiest soccer uniform. Might I say, we most definitely look the part.

Oh So Behati

I couldn't think of anything to write about for the longest time, so I harassed Behati to give me some news on her. This is what she wrote me, "I just got an amazing hairless cat and his name is Gollum. He just pooped and it's all over his tale. Jamie (her boyfriend) almost puked. hahaha!!!"
On other news poor Jamie was crossing the street and a car almost ran him over. As if that wasn't enough the man got out of his car and started to hit him with a baseball bat. Behati tried to save the day by attacking the man with her purse. Behati said all is good, and Jamie is recuperating.

Welcome to my crib!

Well my place is finally done! ...sort of. I still have a few things to do here and there (which I'lll probably never get around to), but over-all I'm really happy with how the place turned out. Here are a few pictures that Vogue Living took of the place.

My good friend James Conran did the interior design and also all the custom painting and plastering. I think he did a great job! If you'd like to see a full portfolio of his work you can do so at:
