Vogue

For the past few weeks I've had the great opportunity to watch the busy people of Vogue do what they do best. It was definitely an eye opener. I knew there was a lot that went on, but I didn't realize what attention to detail was put into making a magazine.

While at Vogue I got to observe how they choose which girl to use for each shoot and how they determine which editor was going to work with which model. I had the privilege of watching the photo department painstakingly finding the right location for a shoot and placing the pictures with the text so that it looks just right. I was able to watch the girls in the beauty department, and how they make sure the product is shot just the right way. It was also in that department that I discovered the treasures of beauty closet! I was even spoiled and allowed to go into the archive library and see one of the first issues of Vogue ever printed. In Accessories I had the chance to see all the hats, purses and shoes laid out so that the editors could choose what they would use on their shoots. While with the Fashion department I was even lucky enough to go on a few viewings of pre-collections with the editors.

There was so much that I got to see in the short amount of time that I was observing there. I will admit that being around the office was a little nerve rackin, but without this experience I wouldnt have had the opportunity to realizing truly how hard it is for Anna and the rest of the team at Vogue to come up with bigger and better ideas for upcoming issues.

I take my hat off to them, they most definitely are the perfect group for such a job.

Yes, Vogue is a wonderful experience but lately it's pretty boring. I buy ELLE or Harper's Bazaar instead. But Teen Vogue is great!

wow! I would so love to check out the offices of Vogue someday. I'm sure there's a lot that goes on behind the magazine and that's what intimidates me. makes me rethink whether I want to work in magazine journalism or not. SIGH!

(not too important but i heard that pretty much every gal who works in Vogue is skinny and BEAUTIFUL...is that true?)

Lucky you, I must say you've inspired me. I kinda thought models were really selfcentered, but you seem to be nothing like that.

even though im from the business myself working as a model. I don't really share the same feelings about it. It just annoys me sometimes how seriously people take fashion. It just thends to become a bit too much.

"what would you say if I am a model?"

I don't really care if you are a model or not. The true important thing is if you are beautiful and nice woman. The fame and such is completely irrelevant. We'll see if you can comprehend what I mean.

Well, Coco is by no means ugly and she seems to be a quite nice lady with a good portion of humor. (Yeah, I know, the obligatory flatter is here at work.)

However, it's no suprise that a girl dislikes an other girl.*^^
