Shopping Vintage.

I  have come to realize that I'm obsessed with vintage clothing . If I go shopping which rarely I do, I always find my self at a vintage store. I've got a little secret place that I'm going to share with you all. In NY the only vintage store you'll find me in is called Cheap Jack's. On 5th Ave and 31 St. It has things from the late 1800's to the late 1980's. Its go anything and everything. Trust me its worth checking out. I never leave with out getting bags full of clothing. As if I need more garments.

This is a photo of me at the after party for the screening for Obsessed, wearing a vintage dress that I got at Cheap Jacks. One of my new faves!

I love vintage shopping. I have a place around the corner. You have to be in the mood to search. I found a vintage YSL trench one time for $19.99, but it was pretty worn....I find that vintage shopping isn't for everyone because of the stigma it holds.

The secret is not to tell people where or how much you paid for the clothes. I love vintage (not so much the '80s). I find the fabric and tailoring is much better than the made in "elsewhere".

I wax lyrical about the advantages of buying vintage or second hand all the time. I've been a vintage clothing convert since my early teens & I also collect vintage dresses (246 on the last count). I know, totally excessive but it's my hobby. It's nice to see that even someone like yourself, that presumably has the pick of a vast crop of brand spanking new hot designer gear likes to indulge in vintage shopping, good on you girl & judging by the lovely dress you have a keen eye for it too.
All the best,
Jem
